In remembrance this December 7, a day that will live in infamy. Like many other days.

Remember this day not by just a thought or a small prayer, but by thinking instead of what it would be like to be one of those unfortunate souls dying on the back of a sinking ship, knowing you will never see your loved ones again.  Sinking while you’re watching the flames and hearing the screams of those around you.  Drowning as an 18 year old German in a U-boat hit by a mine – put yourself there for just a moment. Dying and watching your friends die on the beaches of Normandy or being a part of any one of the other numerous and horrendous atrocities committed during that war or any other.  See if you can feel the pain and the longing to live.  Some of the living know the feeling personally.

Maybe if more humans could use their brains to think beforehand of the horror, we would stop doing this senseless shit. Maybe those optimistic alpha dogs pulling all the strings at high levels would stop thinking about manipulation of the masses for their own animalistic needs and start thinking about all the good they can do with all of the talent and resources they have been given.

Stop the evil.
